This function was new to us until recently, because as is so often the case, there is no information about it in Volkswagen’s documentation. The body heater from Truma, it does not matter which variant, diesel or gas, has a recirculation function. This can be used to “swirl” the indoor air, especially in the summer, and in conjunction with an open skylight to provide cooler air. The air flow comes from the normal openings of the heater, i.e. under the dinette, in the bathroom and in the rear.
Switching on/off only via the Truma display #
You will find the Truma display behind the service flap under the dinette. Now turn the selection knob until the Vent menu item appears in the display. Now press the selection button once, in the next step you can set the intensity.
The scale ranges from 1 – 10, simply select the desired strength using the selection button and then confirm. A short time later, the blower will start and you can enjoy some airflow in the car. The whole thing is switched off again in reverse order.
