Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is distributing a new over-the-air update, OTA for short, with the identifier MIB3.
The update updates the control unit for information electronics to version 0841. This update addresses the following issues and improvements:
- Stability and performance improvements of the overall system
- Improvements in update behavior
- Troubleshooting in the audio area
- Stabilization and improvement (if available) of
- Radio and web radio
- App-Connect and Bluetooth
- Navigation and online navigation
- Voice control
- Optimization of cybersecurity
- Improvement of graphic displays in infotainment
The following conditions must be met for the update to be installed automatically:
- The vehicle must be active with a We Connect contract (no Plus subscription is required here, further information on the We Connect subscriptions can be found -> HERE <-) and a main user must be assigned to this contract.
- The vehicle must have a main user
- The vehicle must NOT be in privacy mode
