“There’s an animal!”

Find out how you can protect your Cali from unwanted insects. Learn how to seal the forced ventilation and refrigerator. 🚐🪰🕷️🪳🦟

… that’s probably the phrase that comes up most often when we’re on the road with Cali. 😅

The standard answer, usually quite monotonous: “Give me a tuuuch…” 🙄

Sure, we are outside, okay, nature this this… but I leave the animals alone, why don’t they leave me alone too?!

Invade my cali, land on me when I’m sleeping, climb into my dreads and I’ll probably get stung and have another huge inflammatory bulb driving me crazy.

I know, of course, that the nets on the door and windows do not seal hermetically, but when I then casually learned that there are places that are just so open… yes exactly! Just open… I can still meticulously push any nets to, if but actually always what can come in. 👀

Where to go in?

First point: forced ventilation.

The round lid on the headliner at the level of the bathroom door provides you with a permanent supply of fresh air. Great thing, but it doesn’t hurt the fresh air if it has to pass through a net that keeps the crawling and flying friends out ☝️

The cover is velcroed, can be pulled off downwards.

The bracket underneath can be easily removed by means of three screws.

Stick on the Velcro strips.

Press on the cut net and screw the holder back on.

Press on lid – done 😎

Leak two: refrigerator ventilation.

The ventilation slots in the kitchen block, which point outwards, towards the sliding door, are the free pass for the pesky intruders here.

The ventilation itself, first of all no problem, who wants, can like to be roasted in the sauna under the refrigerator… would there not still be the rear exit 🤨

There you can close the door network as you want, a small detour and they are inside… 😤 so not!

The grille is held in place with four small screws.

Once you have this in hand, you can stick the Velcro all around.

Now, the cut net can be velcroed in place and the grid can be screwed back on.

So, the loopholes are tight 🙌

We used tesa Insect Stop fly screen for sealing, click on the picture to go directly to the product.

And if you do make it in, you’ll never get past the mosquito lamp, for better or worse… 😇

But hey 🪰🕷️🪳🦟, it’s your decision! You can just stay outside… and everyone lives peacefully side by side for the rest of their lives, some inside, some outside 🫶
