The tank control

If you call up the water level via the camper unit, then you have surely noticed the button “Tank control” or?

Maybe you have already pressed the button and were startled by the loud beep when you pressed it again to stop the noise.

However, this annoying sound is also incredibly practical, because it signals you when the water tank is full without you having to constantly look at the display when refilling it.

The procedure is incredibly simple, select the tank control over the camper unit, now you will hear the beep. Now start filling the water into your fresh water tank. At first, the tone remains unchanged, but when the tank is 98 percent full, the tone changes and the camper unit emits a continuous beep. Now you know, even without looking at the display, that it is time to turn off the water. Conveniently, you do not need to press the button again, your Cali notices when no more water is filled into the tank and stops beeping all by itself after about two minutes.

We know a few of our special friends who are now screaming again that you can just look at the display and don’t need this nonsense. However, this statement is not true, because the display switches itself off, so you would always have to get back into the car to tap the display again to read the fill level. By the way, this is another plus for the tank control, when the function is activated, the display does not turn off during this time. If you exit the mode or wait for the vehicle to switch off the control itself after filling, the display will also go back into standby mode after a short time.

And of course there’s the category, we just fill the tank until it comes out the top, we don’t need a beep and we don’t need a display. Please take this to heart, never fill the tank until the water comes out the top. We have tested exactly that, because we also thought, it is super practical, just make so full until it comes out the top again. Unfortunately, the problem is that the tank is not completely sealed inside. If you overfill the fresh water tank, the water will be forced out of the opening for the water pump’s power supply, among other things. In the worst case, this results in the water running over the tank into the gas cabinet. I don’t think anyone is really up for that…. 😌
