Our Grand California, well not just ours but everyone’s, has a bathroom on board from the factory. Okay, okay, what we’re calling a bathroom here now sounds big and spacious, so the word “wet room” would probably be more appropriate. But we prefer to stay with the bathroom, because that’s what we do in this “room”.
We use the bathroom in the Grand California exclusively as soon as we are on the road, even when we are at a campground. Why is this so special now? We have also asked ourselves this question, because many campers seem to want to avoid the bathroom. In various reviews of, for example, pitches, it is always pointed out that there is no shower or the same is dirty.
But isn’t that why you buy a camper with a bathroom? So that you have your own “kingdom”?
After all, there are enough reasons to have your own toilet and shower where you know who uses it. Or would you also prefer to share the bathroom with your neighbor at home? We probably think not.
By the way, the wet room lives up to its name when showering, it gets wet! But with a few simple modifications, the bath in the Grand California will dry perfectly and quickly. All you need is a shower curtain and a suitable support rod with suction cups. We bought the whole thing from our Swedish friends at IKEA and didn’t even pay ten euros.
What’s your situation? Team bathroom in the van or team washhouse at the campsite?
