Supervolt Ultra with 60 or 100Ah

Bauer Trading, or better known as Supervolt, has an exciting new product in its portfolio, the Supervolt Ultra Series.

In the past, we had often reported on the positive experiences with Supervolt, but there were always a few limitations in the interaction with the Grand California. In particular, the high charging current of the Grand California was not always manageable without further adjustment. The alternator of the GC delivers charging currents of around 180A and is thus well above the maximum specified charging currents of 100A, which is usual for lithium batteries.

Exactly this gap now close the new Supervolt Ultra batteries, with a maximum charge current of 200A, this battery can now be charged without any adjustment (please note: still the battery is only charged when the battery charge button in the dashboard is pressed. Furthermore, the CU always shows 100%. These restrictions remain and are described in the old posts) can be installed in the Grand California. The special feature is the extremely high peak current of 1500A, which even makes it possible to use it as a starter battery (please note, if you replace the starter battery, it must be taught, otherwise the vehicle will not recognize the battery).

The new batteries are available at the start in two capacities, once as a 60Ah variant, which is suitable as a starter battery and a 100Ah variant, which can replace the body battery and thus increase the runtime extremely. Of course, heating mats are integrated in the Ultra models, so that nothing stands in the way of winter use.
