Volkswagen has issued a new recall. This affects all Grand California built between December 2019 – April 2021.
The recall in wording:
Production period: December 2019 – April 2021; Grand California 600 and 680
Problem:
Crank roof windows were installed, which have a defective bonding of the plastic hood with hinge. Incorrect bonding can cause the plastic hood to detach from the hinge. Driving wind at higher speeds can lead to the loss of the plastic hood of the skylight.
Remedy:
The bonding of the plastic hood is checked and additionally secured. Roof windows with loosened adhesive joints are replaced.
