Many things in life are a learning process and it took us two years of driving around the world in our Grand California to admit to ourselves that this condensation is relatively annoying in the fall and winter.
It was also a bit chilly in the cab during the last few winters in Sweden.

There is a whole range of external insulation on the market, so we were spoiled for choice. And just like you now, we read and looked at reports and tests to find out which is the best insulation for us. A friend pointed out to us that there is a suitable external insulation for the Grand California from Project Camper. As we have had very good experiences with Project Camper’s thermal mats, we thought this might be the solution to our condensation problem. However, a look at the homepage brought a shock: the complete set costs a hefty 515 euros.
But because we are so happy with the thermal mats, we thought we’d give the external insulation a chance and let you take part in this test.
