Navigation & route planning with ADAC Maps

We actually always use Google Maps when traveling, it works quite well and you can find your way around. However, the ADAC has a great product on offer with ADAC Maps, which is also free of charge.

ADAC Maps not only allows you to plan routes on your PC, but also provides you with relevant information about your desired destination. The app is doubly interesting for campers and motorhome drivers, as there are special motorhome routes.

Pitch & campsite search

If you are spontaneously looking for a pitch or campsite, ADAC Maps can also help you.

You will receive all relevant information about the pitch or campsite. In our example you can see the number of seats and the contact details. In some cases, prices are even stored directly.

Information on the desired destination

As soon as you have entered your desired destination, a few highlights that characterize the destination will be described. Various POIs(points of interest) are also available.

Route planning

In addition to planning via the browser, the ADAC provides the extremely solid ADAC Drive app, the functions of which are almost identical to the browser version. A great feature is the ability to plan and save a route on the computer, which can then simply be loaded onto the smartphone, the only requirement being an ADAC account.

Route information

If you have planned a route, you will receive some more information about the journey. Information on toll costs is listed and there is even a fuel cost calculator, you enter the approximate consumption of your vehicle and you will then receive the estimated fuel costs.

Search for gas stations

Compare fuel prices? The ADAC Drive app also makes this easy.

Conclusion

Actually, the ADAC service leaves no wish unfulfilled. Are you looking for a free navigation app that even takes camper routes into account? Then ADAC Drive is almost perfect for you. Of course, Munich has also thought about integration into the vehicle, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available.
