GC Adventure Driver Training July 2023

Secure one of the three free places now for the Grand California Driver Training on 22.07.2023 at the ADAC Driving Safety Center Grevenbroich. Train the emergency brake, reverse slalom and more! Here is all the important information.

On April 2, full of anticipation, we introduced our idea of a Grand California driver training course and opened registration. Relatively quickly, 10 participants signed up bindingly and we were able to book the place and the instructors at the ADAC fix. Unfortunately, as is so often the case in life, some people did not keep their binding commitment and so three places for the training became free again.

So if you feel like a day of action with your Grand California, you still have the chance to secure one of the three places. Here you can find some information about our training and the registration form.

When and where does the training take place?

Our driving safety training will take place on 22.07.2023 at the ADAC driving safety center in Grevenbroich.

The training starts at 08:30 and ends with a final meeting at 17:30.

Address:

ADAC Driving Safety Center Grevenbroich

Elfgen village street 1

41515 Grevenbroich

Please be there already at 08:00, so we can all arrive in peace and do the “check in”.

What is the content of the training?

  • Short introduction to the topic of driving safety
  • Training of the emergency brake at different speeds
  • Training of the emergency brake on different road surfaces
  • Driving backwards slalom for optimal steering wheel control
  • Driving physics: tires, tire age, air pressure, load and center of gravity
  • Braking and avoiding electronically controlled water obstacles
  • Getting to know limit ranges in the curve (tilting moment)
  • Emergency braking in curves
  • Brief wrap-up meeting

Catering on site

There is a restaurant attached to the driving safety center, where you can fill your belly during the lunch break if you wish. The restaurant costs are NOT included and have to be paid on the spot!

On the homepage you can take a first look at the menu:

In order for the food to be on the table on time and for us to be able to move on quickly, the order must already be placed in the morning.

Important points to consider

Participation is with your own vehicle, it must be registered and comply with the rules of the StVZO. Vehicle insurance is mandatory.

You must have a valid driver’s license for your vehicle.

Seat belts are compulsory during training.

There is only one driver per car, so it is not possible to change during the event. A maximum of one accompanying person is included per vehicle.

Unfortunately, children under 15 years of age are not allowed to travel as accompanying persons.

NO animals are allowed on the premises and in the vehicle.

What happens after the training?

After the driver training, we reserved a parking space for the entire group in the Eifel at the Vogelsang campground. There we can arrive in the evening and finish the day together.

The pitch in the Eifel has a supply and disposal station, there is no electricity or sanitary building on site. The supply and disposal is free of charge. Please be prepared to have to use the bathroom and restroom in your Grand California.

If you already want to take a look at the pitch:

This weekend the pitch will host an exhibition with many different exhibitors such as: Ctystop AutoSat, Jemako, Efoy, T&U Camperstall, etc. will be held. Maybe one or the other will find something interesting for his Cali.

Photo – video recording

During the driver training, the drive to the pitch and on the pitch, we make videos and photos, which are subsequently published on our homepage and possibly on social media. With your participation you agree to this. 🙂

We are incredibly excited to see you / you guys and look forward to a great Saturday / Sunday. If you still have questions, you can reach us by email or send a WhatsApp to +49 157 92397557.
